Anatomic Pathologist - Chief of Services and Residency Training.  The Pathology Department, College of Veterinary Medicine, the University of Georgia has an opening for an anatomic pathologist to supervise and coordinate diagnostic and training activities related to veterinary pathology.  Responsibilities are to provide quality diagnostics for the college’s necropsy and biopsy services, supervise activities of the histology and necropsy laboratories, and oversee the anatomic and clinical pathology residency programs.

The successful candidate will also teach in the veterinary and graduate pathology curriculum if desired.  The academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with professional experience and qualifications.  Applicants should possess the DVM, VMD, or any other internationally recognized veterinary degree. Board certification in the American or European College of Veterinary Pathologists is essential and a PhD degree is desirable.

The University of Georgia is located in Athens, a vibrant, cosmopolitan city recently designated the number one retirement spot in the U.S.  Athens is an hour from Atlanta, two hours from the Appalachian trail, and four hours from the Atlantic coast.
