Histology slide reviews occur on the third Monday of every month.

Upcoming Meetings

While meeting dates for this year are not set yet, take a look at what lies ahead:

For the fall of 2009, an introductory meeting is planned with Dr. Nancy Kock. She will be discussing opportunities for first and second year students interested in summer experiences involving pathology.

Additionally, a more general meeting will be sponsored by PathHeads concerning biopsy techniques and the principles of surgical pathology for clinicians. This seminar, while sponsored by PathHeads, will be open to clinicians, technicians, and students alike.

We plan to once again host a panel discussion for those interested in the different aspects of pathology, as well as a meeting addressing the subject of forensic pathology.

A lab animal pathology meeting is also planned, and will be co-sponsored by the Laboratory Animal club and the PathHeads.

Past Events

In the fall semester of 2008, PathHeads sponsored an introductory meeting aimed at introducing the field of pathology to incoming freshmen. Dr. Corrie Brown spoke about the many exotic places that pathology has taken her over the years.

A panel discussion was also sponsored by the pathology club in which faculty members and residents shared their experiences and recommendations for those interested in a career in pathology.
