Noah's Arkive Home > What is Noah's Arkive?

Noah's Arkive is a collection of nearly 30,000 images contributed by veterinarians all over the world. The images are available on CDs organized into species-related subsets. Each image is identified in a searchable database by contributor, institution, species, system, tissue or organ and diagnosis or descriptive key words. Our two biggest groups of users are instructors needing images to illustrate lessons or presentations and persons studying for boards.
The Noah Viewer software combines the the image and database information in a graphic display.

Our Noah Viewer software also allows:

  • Searching the database using up to three criteria
  • Advancing images by clicking Next/Previous buttons or by setting up an automatic advance at time interval you select
  • Hiding the Diagnosis/Key Word and GenPath fields for self-testing
  • Entering your own information into an editable and searchable Comments field
