Abbreviations >

To view only those subset images related to a particular diagnosis or description, select the subset on the initial Viewer screen, click on the Browse Images button and select Query in the Control Display box.

Because the computer considers the data in this field as one long word, the LIKE operator must be used.

For example, to view images of histiocytoma, the Query boxes would be

Search Field: Diagtitle
Operator: LIKE
*histiocytoma*

Then click on the Search button. Noah Viewer will display images with histiocytoma in the Diagtitle field.

Because of the variations in entries and the complexity of terms, searching the Diagtitle field can take a few tries. For example, if you wish to view cytology images, searching for *cyto* would also pull up histiocytoma.

Because information about the type of image is often the first word in the description or is enclosed in parentheses, try setting up two query boxes joined by or for cyto * (no leading *; space between word and *) & *(cyto)*

CYTO *

or
