Ophthalmic Service | Diagnostic Case 1

Signalment: 10-month-old female domestic shorthair cat
History: This animal was presented to the University of Georgia Teaching Hospital with a history of dyspnea, tachypnea, hind limb pain, and posterior paresis.
Gross findings: Gross necropsy findings included dilated (congestive) cardiomegaly, pulmonary edema, hepatomegaly, and ascites. A saddle thrombus was found at the aortic bifurcation.
