WELCOME
Dear Presenters, Registrants, Colleagues, and Guests,
It is our pleasure to welcome you to the Second International Virtual Conference in Veterinary Medicine: Diseases of Exotic Animals and Wildlife. This conference was inspired by the very successful First International Virtual Conference on diseases of psittacine birds and an avid interest in exotic animal and wildlife diseases by persons in the College of Veterinary Medicine, Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory, and the Southeastern Cooperative Wildlife Disease Study at the University of Georgia.
This type of conference circumvents the cost associated with attending a conventional international meeting, making participation feasible for virtually everyone with a computer and Internet capabilities. Have you ever missed an 8:00 AM or PM presentation that you really wanted to hear or wished you could spend more time looking at the visual aids in a talk? If so, this conference is for you. You may view the presentations in this virtual conference at any time of day or night and you can revisit them over and over.
This conference is the result of a team effort dedicated to improve our knowledge of and promote interest in diseases of exotic animals and wildlife. We would like to acknowledge those "behind the scenes" individuals whose contributions made this conference possible: Mary Ard (digital image acquisition), Ray Campagnoli (proof reading), Janet Epps and Melissa Harrison (digital portraits), Lois Morrison (web design), and Rachel Steffens (digital image acquisition). We hope that your visit to the Second International Virtual Conference in Veterinary Medicine is an exciting and rewarding experience.
