Dear Guests,
On behalf of The University of Georgia, I am pleased to welcome you to the International Virtual Conference in Veterinary Medicine: Diseases of Psittacine Birds. The state's oldest, most comprehensive, and most diversified institution of higher education, UGA continues to seek new educational avenues for fulfilling its mission of teaching, research, and public service to the state and nation. We are delighted that you have chosen to participate in this inaugural conference.
Our commitment to the global community has been reaffirmed over the past year in numerous ways. With the assistance of Delta Airlines, we are preparing to award the first Delta Prize for Global Understanding, recognizing superior efforts in promoting international peace and awareness. Our faculty, like those in the College of Veterinary Medicine, have hosted scholars from across the globe on our campus in collaborative research and learning. And we are seeking new opportunities for residential study abroad for our students, aware that a clear understanding of today's changing social, economic and political climate necessarily rests in a broader world view.
We appreciate your participation and efforts and hope that you will join UGA again in coming years as we assist in the sharing of veterinary research.
Sincerely,
Michael F. Adams
President
