This is a picture of a frog badly infected with redleg. The bacteria thought to be most responsible is Aeromonas hydrophila, though Chlamydia spp. and Flavobacterium spp. may cause a clinically identical syndrome.
A. hydophila is found in water and soil and on healthy frogs.
