On the rabbits that were already dead before you got here, tissues are very autolyzed.

In some of the recently deceased rabbits, there is hepatic necrosis, seen in this liver on the left.  Note how the whole liver is much lighter in color than the normal mahogany-colored liver on the right. Also, in the necrotic liver, there is a very prominent lobular pattern, a reflection of the regular necrosis seen throughout.

There are hemorrhages in the lungs of a few rabbits.

This is a very acute disease - it has been noted in some outbreaks that rabbits die before any appreciable gross lesions are visible
