About Pathology

Veterinary pathology is the study of the nature, causes, and effects of animal disease. The Department of Pathology at The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine is proud to be one of two stand-alone departments of veterinary pathology in United States. We offer residency, externship, and graduate programs (MS and PhD) in veterinary pathology.

Our Mission

The Department of Pathology is dedicated to the study, diagnosis and control of animal disease through the veterinary student curriculum, residency and graduate training programs, research, and quality diagnostic services that are responsive to the needs of referring veterinarians.
