Bovine Babesiosis
Babesiosis (also known as Texas fever, redwater, tick fever and piroplasmosis) is a tick-borne disease induced by protozoa of the genus Babesia that invade and replicate in mature erythrocytes. The replicating parasites generally destroy the host erythrocyte, resulting in anemia followed by severe weight loss and sometimes death.
