The development of this website was funded by the Department of Defense National Security and Education Program (NSEP). Students from the University of Georgia visited the Universidade Federal de Santa Maria where, together with Brazilian students, they investigated foot-and-mouth disease, babesiosis, and toxic plants. The resulting website was written by the students with oversight by Drs. Claudio Barros, Corrie Brown, Dominguita Graça, and Glaucia Kommers. Website design support by Lois Klesa Morrison.
