Introduction | Botulism |
|
|
Botulism is a worldwide, zoonotic disease found in cattle, poultry, waterfowl, horses and baboons. This disease is rare but is a serious neuroparalytic condition caused by a neurotoxin produced from the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Any increase of cases in todays society are linked to changes in dietary habits, food processing and management, and the reality of bioterrorism. |
