About our Doctors:
Sharon Crowell-Davis DVM, PhD, Diplomate American College of Veterinary Behaviorists . Dr. Crowell-Davis earned her DVM from Auburn University in 1978 and her PhD from Cornell University in 1983. She has practiced behavioral medicine for 26 years, and became one of the founding diplomates of the ACVB in 1993. She has successfully treated thousands of patients, including cats, dogs, horses, parrots, ferrets and rabbits. She is a Professor of Veterinary Behavior at the University of Georgia, where she has directed the behavior service since 1982. She has over 200 publications on clinical animal behavior and is author of the forthcoming book Veterinary Psychopharmacology.
Mami Irimajiri, BVSc, PhD Dr. Irimajiri earned her veterinary degree (BVSc) from Nippon Veterinary and Animal Science University in Tokyo Japan in 1992. She worked for a private small animal practice for 4 years. She earned her PhD from Purdue University in 2004, studying compulsive disorder in dogs. Currently she is a Behavior Medicine Resident at UGA. Her interests are in canine compulsive disorder and behavior problem prevention. She has written several publications on animal behavior.
About our Technician:
Katherine Zaske, BS, AS, CVT Kathy earned her BS from University of Wisconsin in 1998 and her AS from Manor College in 2002. She is a certified veterinary technician with a focus in behavior. She has taken many dog obedience and agility courses. She has worked in many different animal settings including zoos, research facilities, and small animal hospitals. She has written articles for the Georgia Veterinary Technician and Assistant Association’s newsletter.
