The Society of Phi Zeta is the only honor society of veterinary
medicine in the United States. The first chapter was founded in 1925 by a group of senior veterinary students in the New York State Veterinary College at Cornell University.
The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine chapter, known as the “Xi” chapter, was founded in 1959.
The UGA CVM's next Phi Zeta awards ceremony will be held on April 3.
