Information for Referring Veterinarians
The University of Georgia works with various other research institutions and sponsors in conducting clinical research trials. The outcome of this important research benefits the entire veterinary community. Safer, more effective treatments are developed as a result of new technology, and are made available to area veterinarians for the treatment of pets.
You can make an important contribution by supporting the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital in its research efforts. Please refer any patient that could benefit from the treatment received during the course of a study, and that fits the inclusion criteria for one of the trials listed under Current Clinical Research. Your assistance is greatly valued.
How to Refer a Patient for a Clinical Trial
If one of your patients would be a good candidate for a clinical trial, you can contact the hospital’s referral coordinators. For small animals, please contact Cindy Sherrill or Deb Tillman, R.V.T. at 706.542.5362, or toll free at 800.861.7456. For large animals, please contact Susan Ledford or Hilary Tureski at 706.542.3223, or toll free at 800.861.7458.
Alternatively, you may contact the investigator listed for a particular clinical trial for more details pertaining to the study.
We appreciate your help!
