Drug Fair visitors

The Drug and Supplies Fair is an educational exhibit staffed by manufacturers and distributors of drugs and other materials or services that are of interest to veterinarians. The event is attended by approximately 350 students, faculty and staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine each year.

1. Time and Place

The exhibit will be open to visitors from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday, April 25, 2008, in the Reading Room located on the 2nd floor of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Exhibits must be set up by 9 a.m. and must be maintained until 2 p.m.

2. Delivery of Exhibit Materials

Incoming exhibit materials are to be placed on the loading dock between 8 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. the morning of the exhibit. Vehicles must be moved immediately after unloading. A moving crew will assist in moving materials to the exhibit area. NOTE: The equine breezeway will be open only if the weather is bad.

3. Parking

Exhibitors are to park in the Carlton Street Parking Deck located behind the Coliseum. Exhibitors will be given a parking pass at the Drug Fair to be presented to the parking deck attendant when you leave. The number of people using the parking deck on any given day is variable, so early arrival is advised.

4. Refreshments

Coffee, soft drinks and sweet rolls or doughnuts will be available for exhibitors in the exhibit area in the morning. A light meal (usually sandwiches) will be provided for exhibitors around noon.

5. Exhibit Facilities

Each exhibitor will be provided with one 6'X 2.5' or 8.5' X 2.5' table, depending on availability. The tables are often unsightly and exhibitors should bring table covers with them. Electricity is not convenient to all locations. If electricity is necessary the exhibitor should bring a 25' extension cord. Appliances with high-energy demands such as slide projectors should not be used due to the limited capacity of the circuits in the Reading Room.

6. Documentation

Exhibitors will be provided with a count of visitors by classifications at 2 p.m.

7. Purpose

This exhibit is held for the education of students, faculty and staff of the College of Veterinary Medicine. Sales activities are not permitted. Sampling of products is acceptable, but exhibitors are responsible for assuring that prescription items are not sampled to unqualified individuals.

8. Fees

The fee for participation is $300. Checks should be payable to College of Veterinary Medicine - Drug Fair and should be mailed directly to Mr. Sosebee. The fees are not refundable.
