The Veterinary Medical Experiment Station

The VMES supports a wide range of research than impacts many aspects of life. VMES research includes efforts to improve the productivity and health of poultry and livestock, to better the quality of life for companion animals, and to improve public health through disease surveillance.

The Animal Health Research Center

The AHRC is a research facility which enables scientists to study infectious microorganisms, parasites, and toxic chemicals in a safe environment – safe for them and for the general public.

Located adjacent to the College of Veterinary Medicine, the center is designed to do research on a wide variety of animal diseases affecting swine, poultry, horses, cattle, wildlife, companion animals, and humans.
