March 23, Charlotte Observer: Wounded bald eagle flying free. A bald eagle treated by CVM's ZooMed
team is successfully rehabilitated and released back into its natural habitat. The eagle was found along a roadside in Bryan County, Ga., with gunshot wounds last October. UGA intern Dr. Elizabeth Mackey is photographed assisting with the release of the eagle. (story no longer available)
