Monitors
Monitors present the camera's image to the whole surgical team.
These color video monitors should have at least 700 lines of resolution for three-chip cameras.
Camera and monitor positions are critical for the surgeon, who should be looking over the surgical site and toward the monitor in order to minimize the stress of performing surgery on a site hidden from traditional viewing within the patient.
A second monitor may be very useful for viewing by the remainder of the surgical team or to operate at a second site.
Medical grade monitors currently provide superior color images as compared to televisions.
