Tipper

Tipper
  • Patient:
Tipper, 6 year old male Shih Tzu.

  • Presenting complaint:
Repeated attempts to void urine and bloody urine.

  • Endoscopic procedure:
    Laparoscopic-assisted cystoscopic calculi removal.

  • Benefits of using endoscopy:
Examination of the inside of the bladder and urethra was much superior to traditional abdominal surgery and only 2 small incisions were required. In Tipper's case, a calculi that was previously not diagnosed was found in the urethra and removed with the aid of a long flexible scope.
