Location: IDIS Home > Lab Pages > CVM Cytometry Core Facility CVM Cytometry Core Facility Welcome! The CVM Cytometry Core Facility is dedicated to supporting the needs of research personnel at UGA, other academic institutions and at corporations through shared cytometry and cell imaging resources. We provide expertise and training in general principles of flow cytometry, confocal microscopy and bead-based multiplexing technology, experimental design, operation of core equipment, data collection and analysis. Individual or one-time experiments can also be run for or with you. In addition to providing a service for research based projects we would also like to encourage the use of the facility for educational as well as diagnostic purposes. Fees Researchers have the option, once trained, of performing their own analysis or utilizing the expertise of the facility's staff to run their samples for them. In addition to the hourly rates listed below, investigators may opt for an annual fee of $3000 which allows unlimited access once users have been trained. Hourly Rates for Independent Acquisition

Appointments / Training / Calendar To discuss any of the applications, your individual experimental design, or for general inquiries and applications to use the facility, please contact us by email at flowcore@uga.edu or by phone on 706.543.3577 (leave a message and we'll get back to you). Training is available to enable investigators and their staff to run the equipment themselves at reduced cost. Users will be trained by facility personnel in a manner consistent with the user's prior experience and intended applications Training sessions include a session on general principles, a demonstration by core personnel on the machine of interest followed by a variable number of supervised user sessions depending on prior user experience. Once trained, users will be able to access a general booking calendar to facilitate efficient use of the equipment. Operating Hours / After-hours Access Our normal staff hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. However, it is recognized that research does not always adhere to a normal workweek schedule, therefore trained and experienced users may request use of the instruments outside of the Core's staffed hours. Three (3) criteria must be satisfied for after-hours access to be granted for use any CCC resource: sufficient training, experience, as well as demonstration of competency. The first time a user requests such an appointment, prior approval must be given. Useful Links |
