The UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital Large Animal Surgery Service provides 24-hour comprehensive surgical care and treatment for horses, cattle, and small ruminants. The faculty is composed of a team of board-certified surgeons, certified veterinary technicians, interns and residents.
Services available include radiology, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and nuclear scintigraphy. The large animal surgery service provides expertise and state-of-the-art surgical treatment and care for a wide variety of soft tissue and orthopedic diseases, including advanced techniques in minimally invasive surgery, such as arthroscopy, laparoscopy, pleuroscopy, and laser assisted endoscopy.
