HOW TO MAKE A REFERRAL

Thank you for your continuing support of the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. We hope the following information is helpful. If you have further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at the numbers listed below.

Why refer a patient to our facilities?

The University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital is home to many specialists in a variety of areas for both large and small animals. We offer state of the art capabilities in diagnostic imaging and employ many advanced therapeutic modalities.

Specialties (available to Small and Large animals, unless mentioned otherwise)

  • Emergency/Critical care
  • Internal medicine
  • General and orthopedic surgeries

  • Ophthalmology
  • Oncology (small animals only)
  • Neurology (small animals only)

  • Reproductive Services
  • Behavior

Diagnostic Imaging (available to Small and Large animals, unless mentioned otherwise)

  • MRI (large animal MRI coming soon)
  • CT Scanning (small animal only)
  • Nuclear Scintigraphy
  • Various methods of ultrasonography

Advanced Therapeutic Modalities (available to Small and Large animals, unless mentioned otherwise)

  • Radioisotope therapy
  • Brachytherapy and teletherapy
  • Laser surgery
  • Minimally invasive surgical techniques such as arthroscopy and laparoscopy
  • Regenerative Medicine Service (for equine joint and tendon injuries)
