11. Who is eligible for the in-state tuition rate?
- An applicant must be a legal resident of Georgia, South Carolina, West Virginia, or Delaware to qualify for in-state tuition.
- Georgia applicants must have been residents of the state for at least twelve months before August 1 of the year of matriculation.
To be eligible for in-state tuition:
- Eligibility of South Carolina, West Virginia, and Delaware applicants for in-state tuition is determined by regulations in each state. Determination of eligibility must be made for South Carolina, West Virginia, and Delaware applicants by February 1 of the year of matriculation.

- Georgia applicants who are denied residency status for the in-state tuition rate may file an appeal with the University by December 1 of the year of application for admission.
