What are the important deadlines in the application process?

  • September 15, 2007

    • Requests for course substitutions/waivers and approval of online courses intended to meet a prerequisite requirement must be received by this date.


  • October 1, 2007

    • * VMCAS Applications must be submitted to VMCAS by this date.

    * UGA CVM Supplemental Application must be submitted and postmarked by this date.

    * Evaluation forms also must be sent to VMCAS postmarked by this date.

    * Official transcripts from all institutions of higher education the applicant attended must be sent to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine postmarked by this date.


  • November 30 (deadline effective immediately) (of the year that you apply)

    • Standardized test scores must be received by the College (institution code 5752) by this date. Applicants who have previously applied through VMCAS must have their scores resubmitted to the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine by the Educational Testing Service (ETS).


  • February 1, 2008

    • *Residency verification must be received by the Admissions Counselor at The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine for applicants that are residents of Delaware, South Carolina, or West Virginia.

    *Official transcripts of grades obtained in the fall term after the application deadline must be received by the College by this date.
