Thanks to everyone who made the Spooktacular, the rabies clinic and our inaugural 5K Run for Rabies successful!

Spooktacular Benefit: Saturday, October 20

Fatina and the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine presented a Halloween-themed belly dance event, including a show with multiple styles of dance, to benefit the prevention of rabies around the world.

Low-cost Rabies vaccination clinic: Saturday, October 6

SCAVMA sponsored a low-cost vaccination clinic with proceeds going to the Athens Area Humane Society to support rabies vaccination. The cost was just $1 for a one-year rabies shot for the first 500 vaccines administered. This event was sponsored by Merial, Purina, and the Athens Area Humane Society.

Inaugural 5K Run for Rabies: Sunday, October 7

All proceeds benefited the Alliance for Rabies Control, an international organization dedicated to the prevention of human rabies and eradication of rabies in dogs worldwide.
