Prerequisites:            
Veterinary Animal Behavior VARB 5240 or equivalent.  Registration for this course requires permission of instructor.

Objectives: This course is available by arrangement with Dr. Crowell-Davis for students with substantial background in applied animal behavior who wish to improve their knowledge and experience in a particular area.  At the beginning of the course, goals will be identified.  Grades will be based participation in discussion of reading materials, research participation,  and/or papers completed as part of accomplishing goals of the particular course, and any other assignments that may be made as part of the overall course. 

Requirements:           

Grading policy: Grades will be based on the following scale.

A>90%

B>80%

C>70%

D>60%

Attendance policy: Students will be expected to attend all arranged meetings unless they have a written excuse from the Dean’s office.

Students are expected to complete work, such as papers, by the timeline that will be established at the beginning of the course.

All students are expected to abide by the University’s Academic Honesty Policy.

The course syllabus provides a general plan for the course; deviations may be necessary.
