Services

Services provided by the department assist veterinarians, animal owners, and the community at large.

Examples of our services include the Exotic Animal, Wildlife and Zoological Medicine Service, which provides patient care in the field as well as in the hospital. Continuing education courses help practitioners stay up-to-date on the latest advances in minimally-invasive surgery and treatment techniques for these unique animals.

Our diagnostic labs, including the department's Infectious Diseases Laboratory, provide rapid, technologically-advanced testing for diagnosing diseases, performing necropsies, and for determining the sex of exotic animals.
