Continuing education of graduate veterinarians is an important service of the college and department. The department sponsors several continuing education short courses each year. In addition, veterinarians may wish to spend a week learning in the Teaching Hospital (practitioner sabbatical) or exchange a visit between the Teaching Hospital and their private practice.

Many faculty provide educational programs beyond the confines of the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. Veterinary associations desiring continuing education seminars or publishers wishing written educational material should contact the departmental office for referral (706.542.9383).
